JOURNAL: My Day 1 Experience at Blackpink’s Deadline World Tour

7:32 PM

Day 1 was a whirlwind, so I wanted to write everything down while it’s still fresh.

I left MOA Arena around 10 in the morning because I joined the official bus package by Blackpink PH. Honestly, it made the whole trip so much easier. Philippine Arena is really far and traffic is always a gamble. The fandom came prepared too, everyone on the bus got freebies. We received an ID card, a Deadline foldable fan, a ticket holder, and a baller band. Small things, but it instantly set the mood.

Even if I’ve been to Philippine Arena about four times already, the crowd still hits you the moment you arrive. You expect it from a venue this huge, but seeing that many people packed in one place is still overwhelming in the best way.

Since I hadn’t eaten yet, the first thing I did was find food. Before thinking about gates or roaming around, I needed something to survive the heat and the long waiting time.

This was also when my Maya Pink Glitter Edition quietly saved the day. I withdrew cash from Hop Inn Ermita before leaving, but not all vendors accept cards, so having Maya made everything easier. At the food hall outside the arena, I was able to pay with Maya with no hassle, which felt like another little win.

One of the best pre-show moments was the VISA Pink House. The heat outside was intense, so the air-conditioned lounge legitimately felt like heaven. I just showed my Maya Visa Pink Glitter Edition and went in. I stayed there for a bit, did a few activities, and took photos. The setup looked great and it was a nice break before the main event.

The excitement really kicked in when I finally stepped inside the arena. No matter how many concerts I’ve been to, that first view always hits different. I got a good seat in LBA Premium, which made everything even better. While waiting for the show, the crowd was buzzing. People were taking pre-show photos in their pink outfits, and even little girls were dressed in Blackpink-inspired looks. It set the vibe perfectly.

When the lights went down, it felt like everything leveled up. Rosé’s “Number One Girl” hit me the hardest. She wasn’t feeling her best, you could tell, but she still pushed through. As a Rosé bias, that performance got me emotional in a way I didn’t expect. Jennie also surprised me; her stage presence was strong the whole night. The mix of big slay moments and small surprises made the entire show unforgettable

The crowd never lost energy. You could feel how much everyone missed seeing them live.

After the show, I felt completely satisfied. The traffic heading out was brutal, it took almost three hours before our bus even started moving, but they gave out free snacks, so it was manageable. Everyone looked tired but still pumped from the show

What will stick with me the most from Day 1? Honestly, everything. I’ve been to so many concerts through the years and thought this might feel like just another one, but it didn’t. It had its own charm and hit me differently. It ended up being one of the best nights I’ve had in a long time.
