Big Bad Wolf Books is finally coming back to Davao, and I couldn’t be happier. I may not be the type to finish a book every week, but I always look forward to this event whenever it comes around. There’s just something about being surrounded by stacks of books, good deals, and excited readers that makes the experience so fun.
The sale runs from November 13 to 24, 2025, at The Tent in Azuela Cove, and it’s shaping up to be a big one. They’re bringing in more than 20,000 titles this year, covering all kinds of genres from fiction, self-help, business, children’s books, and plenty more. Even if you’re not a hardcore reader, it’s still worth the visit because there’s always something new to discover.
Every year, Big Bad Wolf makes sure to bring in fresh titles for Davao, and this time they’re also offering even more promos and discounts than before. It’s honestly the perfect time to start shopping for Christmas gifts, especially if you have friends or family who love to read or kids who you want to introduce to reading early. Books as gifts always feel personal, and this sale makes it easier to find the right one without spending too much.
During the media launch, I got to meet Wolfie, the official Big Bad Wolf mascot, who instantly became a crowd favorite. We also heard from Jacqueline Ng, the co-founder of Big Bad Wolf Books, who shared her excitement about returning to Davao. She mentioned how meaningful it is to bring affordable books to more people and even recommended titles from Malcolm Gladwell and Oprah Winfrey for those who enjoy inspiring reads.
One thing I love about Big Bad Wolf is how it goes beyond just selling books. This year, they’re donating 1,000 books to the Davao City LGU, a gesture that shows how much they care about spreading the love of reading in every community they visit.
If you’re planning to go, take Jacqueline’s advice and bring a suitcase or a bag with wheels because you’ll probably end up buying more than planned. And wear comfy shoes—it’s easy to lose track of time once you start browsing.
So whether you’re hunting for your next favorite read, looking for the perfect Christmas gift, or just want to see what the hype is about, Big Bad Wolf Davao is worth checking out. I know I’ll be there, probably in the kids’ section or browsing something motivational, trying to convince myself I only need “just one more book.”
